Since graduating from Eastern Kentucky University, Jenny has spent time working in Social Services and for the Commonwealth Attorney.   This included many fast paced, high stress level positions.  Upon joining StateLine Steel in 2011, Jenny specialized in purchasing, freight and logistics - later moving into sales.  In 2014,  Jenny was promoted to Sales Manager.  She has the ability to stay on top of orders and continuously strive to save the customer money. Jenny makes every order her priority and ensures customers get the right material, at the right price and that orders are delivered on time.

Jenny brings an extensive steel industry background to StateLine Steel, llc.  Jenny began her career as a purchasing agent for a large manufacturing company in Kentucky - working side by side with our CEO.   When she joined StateLine Steel, llc in 2011, her previous industry knowledge and expertise quickly showed. She assumed many roles for the company in the first year including processing manager.  Bringing her passion for customer service with her, Jenny is an integral asset to the company.  Jenny oversees all aspects of customers orders from start to finish.  She is involved in issuing purchase orders, receiving raw and finished goods, dispatching and invoicing.   If you have a question about your order - Jenny will have the answer.

Craig Brown
Outside Sales Manager

Craig's ultimate goal is customer relationships.  He strives to understand exactly what the customer manufacturers and goes above and beyond to make certain we offer the best possible product at the best possible price.  Craig's background in sales is extensive with 11 years of experience in the automotive industry as Special Finance Manager and 6 years in Manufacturing, Sales and Operations Management in the tube mill industry.    Craig, like the rest of our management team, has collectively experienced almost every aspect of manufacturing from the ground up.  We understand the challenges associated with "the other side of the desk".  Our ability to understand those challenges allows us to better serve our customers.

Shannon Sexton

Chief Executive Officer

Shannon Sexton, founder and CEO of StateLine Steel, LLC is no stranger to hard work or the steel business.  With both parents in the steel manufacturing industry, her father – a tube mill manager for over 30 years, and her mother – a freight scheduler, she cut her teeth in a household where steel ruled nightly dinner conversations and late night calls from the mill were the norm.

Upon graduation she began her career in sales with a national printing company where she received high marks and sales awards.  Although she excelled in the position, she knew the steel business is where she belonged.  Shannon eventually took an entry level position with the company her father had been a part of for so many years.

 As the company grew, so did her knowledge of the steel industry.  Her beginnings as a receptionist were short lived, as she was quickly promoted to purchasing agent for one of the largest farm and agriculture manufacturers in the U.S.  As the purchasing agent, she learned to handle steel set-ups, processing, and logistics challenges.  She worked closely with quality control team leaders and metallurgists, personally conducting and assisting with tests when needed.  At the end of her first year, she was again promoted, to purchasing manager, and lead a department with over $80 million dollars in purchases per year, with over half being raw steel.

After a decade, she left her manufacturing family and started a short term with a steel service center as a sales representative.  During that time, she learned more of the business and knew it was time to start her own company to better serve the customer ~ StateLine Steel was born.

Amanda Greer
New Business Development Manager

Amanda is the newest member of the StateLine Steel, llc team.  She brings with her an extensive background in customer service and experience as the customer relations manager for a major insurance company.  Amanda's priority is reaching out to new customers, building lasting relationships with them and making their satisfaction her ultimate goal.  Amanda absorbs information quickly - making the customers job easier by eliminating the need for repeating specifications or details
