Shannon Sexton - Chief Executive Officer - Corporate Office,  Russell Springs, KY

Shannon Sexton, founder and CEO of StateLine Steel, LLC is no stranger to hard work or the steel business.  With both parents in the steel manufacturing industry, her father - a tube mill manager for over 30 years, and her mother - a freight scheduler, she cut her teeth in a household where steel ruled nightly dinner conversations and late night calls from the mill were the norm.

Upon graduation she began her career in sales with a national printing company where she received high marks and sales awards.  Although she excelled in the position, she knew the steel business is where she belonged.  Shannon eventually took an entry level position with the company her father had been a part of for so many years.

As that company grew, so did her knowledge of the steel industry.  Her beginnings as a receptionist were short lived, as she was quickly promoted to purchasing agent for one of the largest farm and agriculture manufacturers in the U.S.  As the purchasing agent, she learned to handle steel set-ups, processing, and logistics challenges.  She worked closely with quality control team leaders and metallurgists, personally conducting and assisting with tests when needed.  At the end of her first year, she was again promoted, to purchasing manager, and lead a department with over $80 million dollars in purchases per year, with over half being raw steel.

After a decade, she left her manufacturing family and started a short term with a steel service center as a sales representative.  During that time, she learned more of the business and knew it was time to start her own company to better serve the customer ~ StateLine Steel was born.

Henry Long Jr. -  Sales Manager - Corporate Office,  Russell Springs, KY
Henry joined StateLine Steel, LLC in early 2011 - bringing an impressive background with him.  Henry grew up in the steel industry, with his father working for a steel service center for over 24 years.  Upon completion of highschool, Henry joined the United States Marine Corps and specialized in Communications and Nuclear, Biological and Chemical warfare.  Henry was deployed to Iraq in 2003 and was part of the initial push into Iraq during the invasion, with the 1st Marine Division, 3rd Amphibious Assault Battalion. While in Iraq, Henry received a Navy and Marine Corps achievement medal for superior performance of duties and providing the critical communications link between ground and headquarter forces, via an unprotected retransmission site during the shock and awe campaign.  Henry spent 8 years in the Marine Corps, being honorably discharged as a Sergeant.  Upon leaving the Marine Corps, he accepted a position in material assigning at a steel service center, and shortly took over as a Divisional Operations Manager for the company.  Henry was able to grow sales over 1000% in 7 years by always looking to provide expertise to customers in order to save them money, via better material management, exploring alternative material options, and helping forecast market pricing to hedge increases.  Henry was also in charge of material management and purchasing for his division, which brings the experience of being on the "other side of the desk" and knowing what steel buyers are looking for in a dedicated supplier.   Henry has extensive knowledge and expertise when it comes to suggesting the lowest cost material with the highest formability for particular projects.  Let Henry put his steel background to work for you!  Connect with him at henry@statelinesteel.com, or by calling our corporate office.


Chris Aaron - Sales - Corporate Office, Russell Springs, KY
In July, 2011, Chris joined our sales team after 9 years of honorable service in the US Navy's Nuclear Power Program.  Chris was born and raised in Indiana by his father, the general manager for a large steel service center.  Chris learned the ropes of the steel industry from the ground up - working in and out of steel warehouses since he was a young man.  Chris brings an eagerness to learn and a high level of diligence.  Chris has quickly become a productive and knowledgeable salesman with enormous potential in the steel industry.  Connect with Chris by calling our corporate office, or at

Steven Lee - Sales - Corporate Office, Russell Springs, KY
Steven began his career with StateLine Steel, LLC in 2011.  Although Steven is fairly new to the sales side of things, he's been  part of the steel business in some fashion since 1993.  Steven started out in production for a local agricultural manufacturer, then moved into the trucking industry.  Steven worked his way up to management for a distributing company, where he was responsible for all incoming and outgoing steel products.  Experience brings wisdom, which is what he gained while working every aspect of the steel business, from manufacturing to freight and distribution.  When Steven is not here at StateLine, he's a devoted father, coach, referee, musician, and partner in a mobile DJ business.  Steven has quickly become a dynamic and well informed member of the StateLine team.  Connect with Steven for all your steel needs by calling our corporate office, or at

Jenny Turner -  Processing & Accounts Management  - Corporate Office, Russell Springs, KY
Jenny came on board in 2011, but don't let her freshman status fool you.  Jenny grew up in Texas, moving to Kentucky when she was in highschool.  Jenny is well versed in the steel industry, having previously been the purchasing agent for a large manufacturer in Kentucky - working side by side with our CEO.  Jenny handles processing and customer service.  Have a question about your order - shoot Jenny and email at jenny@statelinesteel.com or by calling our corporate office. Jenny Brown -  Traffic Management - Corporate Office, Russell Springs, KY

Britnee Sexton -  Purchasing & Inventory Management - Corporate Office, Russell Springs, KY
